licensed, in plain words

we built the character, so we keep the copyright. you rent the exclusive right to be the only one in your market using it, the way radio jingle studios licensed one jingle to one plumber per city. your yearly renewal is what keeps competitors out.

owned, in plain words

we design a character just for you and sign the copyright over. it is your company's property forever, like kellogg's owns tony the tiger. one payment, no renewals, and we keep zero claim on it.

content drops · $900 a month
8 to 10 finished pieces every month, starring your character, produced by the cintrova studio. works with either path, month to month, cancel anytime.
common questions

the things people actually ask.

who owns the character?

library characters: felt keeps the copyright and you hold an exclusive license for your industry and city, renewed yearly. commissioned characters: you do. the copyright transfers to your company in the contract, and we keep zero claim beyond showing the work in our portfolio.

what does "exclusive to my city" actually mean?

while your license is active, we will not license that character, or anything confusably close to it, to another business in your industry in your metro area. your competitors can want it. they cannot have it.

what happens if i stop renewing?

the license ends, you stop using the character, and it goes back on the shelf for your city. that is the honest trade of the library path: it is dramatically cheaper to start because the character remains ours. if you want one nobody can ever take back, that is what commissioning is for.

can i start with a library character and commission my own later?

yes, and it is a natural upgrade path. plenty of brands should rent recognition first, prove it moves the needle, then invest in an original. we make the handoff clean.

what can i use the character on?

your marketing, in your market: social, ads, signage, vehicle wraps, your website, uniforms, stickers, and merch you give away or sell in your own business. the kit is built so print shops and sign makers can work straight from it.

who makes the monthly content?

the same studio that built your character. content drops are produced by cintrova, our parent studio, using your character's bible and identity pack, so every piece stays on-model. bigger swings, like ad campaigns and brand films, live there too.
